Software Engineer

We are looking for a kickass software engineer to help take our webapp to the next level. You are a competent all-around software engineer comfortable anywhere in the stack with a heart that beats extra strongly for web development. Armed with your laptop and a mug of java you kill all bugs coming your way and proactively work to improve the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, scale and maintain software solutions 
  • Be the spider in the web, getting things done
  • Setup, support and maintain frameworks for efficient development with high focus on developer experience
  • Design and optimize database structures and APIs
  • Create and improve structures for web development
  • Implement big data visualizations
  • Handle user management, administration and access control 
  • Develop a state-of-the-art webapp
  • Create and manage enterprise application architectures 
  • Develop testable code and integrate with a CI/CD pipeline 
  • Work closely with data scientists, product designers, frontend and backend engineers
  • Provide technical leadership, guiding junior team members. Help to grow and develop the frontend and back-end teams
  • Help shaping the technical areas of the product 

Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science / informatics or a comparable qualification with work experience
  • +3 years of experience as a software engineer 
  • Experience building web applications in JavaScript, TypeScript, React or similar
  • Solid programming experience in object-oriented languages
  • Comfortable working in the cloud, experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
  • Comfortable with Linux
  • Experience working in an agile environment and comfortable with Git and Jira 
  • Develop a state-of-the-art webapp
  • Create and manage enterprise application architectures 
  • Comfortable working with CI/CD 
  • Proven record of creating/working with complex enterprise application architectures 
  • Motivation to find new solutions and create cutting-edge technological applications
  • Fluency in English is a must. Language skills in German, Portuguese and Spanish is a bonus
