We are proud to announce ANNEA ranks 14 out of 16.000 startups among the Top 100 fastest-growing startups in Germany. This September, GlassDollar curated a monthly list for Business Insider Deutschland. They published an article that presents a new approach to analysing startups and their growth during the COVID pandemic.
For a long time, there was a tried and tested blueprint for the classic start-up career. This involved business studies at the elite university WHU, followed by entry at Rocket Internet or an international consulting firm. Subsequently, after two or three years, your start-up project.
This is shown by an evaluation of the top 100 fastest growing startups in Germany, which the Berlin-based analysis firm Glassdollar gathered data exclusively for Business Insider Deutschland. In their analysis, they assessed growth based on size and the buzz around the company on social media. In addition, they assessed website traffic as well.
Based in Hamburg, ANNEA‘s high ranking positions can be accredited to a 50% increase in our amazing team since we launched in 2019. The numbers have also shown a 236% increase in our social media engagement and presence.

According to Business insider August ranking:
Most of the ranked startup founders are TU Munich alumni, the ranking provides insights into current technology trends and lists promising newcomers. Second place is shared by RWTH Aachen University and WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management.
A look at the Top 100 in August shows, however, that the certificate of an elite University is not necessary to get off to a good start as a start-up founder. Hendrik Gottschalk (Sports Science at Bochum University) and Jan Owiesniak (Computer Science at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences) have made it to first place in the ranking. Created for corporate application to boost customer experience by inducing videos onto everyday life products. They later introduce Augmented Reality campaigns to their functions.
In the second place, is Express Steuer. This company builds AI-powered software that interprets and automates the complex process of filing German tax returns.
And in third place is Staiy, it is an online sustainable fashion marketplace that collaborates with like-minded brands that enable consumers to shop eco-friendly. They developed an algorithm and Artificial Intelligence (AI) system to personalise the shopping experience.
